LINDON, Utah — Intermountain Health and Summit Harley-Davidson today announced the establishment of the Ride for First Responders, a collaborative community event designed to support Utah’s emergency medical services, fire and law enforcement personnel.
Conceived as an annual motorcycle procession and community gathering, the Ride for First Responders was created to address the physical, mental and personal demands placed on local emergency service providers. Proceeds generated by the event will fund direct-aid programs, specialized mental health and wellness support, and hardship relief for first responders and their families across the valley.
"First responders spend their careers running toward danger to protect our neighbors, families and communities," said Karie Haws, Outreach and Injury Prevention Trauma Coordinator at Intermountain Health. "Partnering with Summit Harley-Davidson allows us to turn collective gratitude into meaningful action, ensuring those who care for us have access to the dedicated health resources, wellness support and peace of mind they deserve."
The inaugural event will bring together motorcycling enthusiasts, local leaders, first responder agencies and community members for a ceremonial scenic ride, ending with a family-friendly community rally featuring food, live music, vendor and sponsor exhibitions.
"Our riding community has a long-standing tradition of showing up for those in need," said Rory Swan, General Manager at Summit Harley-Davidson. "We are proud to stand alongside Intermountain Health to establish a powerful movement. The Ride for First Responders is about more than just a great day on two wheels — it's about letting our local heroes know that their service is recognized, respected and backed by a grateful community."
Registration details, route specifications, sponsorship opportunities and the announcement of the 2026 beneficiary fund will be released in the coming weeks. For more information, visit rideforfirstresponders.com
